Home Hero is a marketplace connecting homeowners to vetted, verified contractors. We are not a lender and do not provide VA home loans.
We connect homeowners with background‑checked contractors, provide on‑the‑job training (OJT) placement through our partnership with Home Hero Institute for vetted men and women entering the trades, and manage marketing and media for trade service businesses.
Home Hero connects trade professionals with customers, apprenticeship opportunities, and business systems — at every stage of your career.
Home Hero was built by Dewayne Anderson — a United States Army veteran — who came home to Shreveport and saw two problems nobody was solving. Homeowners who could not find trustworthy trade professionals. And skilled workers stuck in unlicensed positions because nobody documented their experience.
Home Hero is the answer to both. The marketplace serves customers. The network develops tradespeople. And Home Hero Institute — our nonprofit partner — runs a National DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program that gives every qualified worker a real path to their journeyman license.
Three paths below. Each one built for a different stage of your trade career. Read all three and find where you fit.
"In the Army you do not cut corners. You do not leave a job half done. You do not walk away from someone who needs help. That standard does not go away when the uniform comes off. It shows up in how we vet our contractors, how we price our services, how we document every apprentice's hours."
For licensed master contractors in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting.
If you are a licensed master contractor you have felt the labor shortage. Good helpers are hard to find. The ones you do find need training. And keeping up with DOL documentation is a full-time job on top of running your business.
Home Hero Institute is a National DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program. We have apprentices who need OJT hours under a licensed master to earn their journeyman license. You need motivated labor that shows up because they have skin in the game. We connect you. We handle every piece of the documentation.
RAPIDS reporting. Competency checkpoints. Hour verification. Wage progression records. All of it. You supervise the work. We handle the federal paperwork. Your apprentices log hours daily on their phone. You tap confirm. The DOL-compliant record builds itself.
You hold a valid trade license and carry general liability insurance at minimum $1 million per occurrence. You supervise apprentices per DOL Work Process Schedule standards and confirm their hour logs through the platform.
A completely built GoHighLevel business system — booking automation, customer CRM, invoicing, missed call text back, review automation, job dispatch, and mid-tier marketing automations. Everything a trade business needs to operate professionally, included alongside the full compliance package.
For licensed and insured trade professionals who want steady job flow without building their own marketing operation.
You are good at your trade. That is not the problem. Finding enough customers to keep you busy is a completely different skill. Most tradespeople spend years figuring out marketing, reviews, booking systems, and customer follow-up on their own.
Home Hero already built it. We generate the customers. We dispatch the jobs to your phone through the Lead Connector app. You show up, do the work, invoice through the app, and get paid every Friday by direct deposit.
Every contractor on the Home Hero network goes through a vetting process before their first job. License verification. Insurance confirmation. Background check. Platform onboarding. Once verified you are live and receiving jobs in your trade and service area.
Your trade, license number, insurance carrier, and service area. Approximately five minutes.
We verify your trade license with the state board and confirm your insurance meets our minimum requirements. Most verifications complete within 24 to 48 hours.
Standard background check authorization sent to you as part of the application process.
Your contractor profile activates. Lead Connector app access granted. Jobs start coming in.
Valid state trade license or certification. General liability insurance minimum $1 million per occurrence. Your own tools and equipment. A smartphone for the Lead Connector app.
For trade professionals ready to own their business completely — their own customers, their own brand, their own systems.
There is a difference between working in a trade and owning a trade business. Owning means your systems work when you do not. Your phone rings because of what you built. Your customers come back because of how your follow-up system treats them. Your reviews climb automatically.
Home Hero built it for you. A fully built GoHighLevel sub-account pre-loaded with everything a trade business owner needs to market, sell, and operate professionally from day one. Three tiers. Pick where you are.
Enter the network. Start earning. Build your OJT record.
Pass your ASE or journeyman exam with Institute support.
Own your brand. Own your customers. Own your business.
Bring your own apprentices into the OJT marketplace.
America is short 500,000 skilled tradespeople. Licensing boards require documented hours that nobody is tracking. Homeowners cannot find professionals they trust. Skilled workers cannot get the credential that reflects what they already know how to do.
Home Hero Management operates the marketplace. Home Hero Institute operates the National DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program. Together they address both sides of the problem from one platform.
This started in Shreveport, Louisiana. It is built to scale nationally. The infrastructure is the same in every market. The mission is the same in every city. The standard is always the veteran standard.
Home Hero Institute Inc. is a separate nonprofit Community Development Corporation founded alongside Home Hero to address the workforce development side of the problem. It holds the National DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program registration, pursues grants to support students, and partners with community colleges to provide classroom instruction for apprentices in the field.
The Institute does not run the marketplace. Home Hero runs the marketplace. The Institute recruits apprentices and refers them to the Home Hero platform for OJT placement and hour tracking. Two organizations. One shared mission. Both exist because Dewayne Anderson believed the community deserved both.
Every apprentice who enters the Home Hero Institute program has access to the Home Hero OJT marketplace — licensed master contractors, verified hour logging, and the documentation they need for journeyman licensure — all through one platform.
