To participate as an employer partner you hold a valid trade license in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general contracting. You carry general liability insurance at minimum $1 million per occurrence. You supervise apprentices per DOL Work Process Schedule standards and verify their hour logs through the platform.

Home Hero Institute — The School Behind the Network
Two Organizations. One Mission. One Community.
Home Hero Institute Inc. is a separate nonprofit Community Development Corporation founded alongside Home Hero to address the workforce development side of the problem. It holds the National DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program registration. It pursues grants to support students who need wraparound services to complete their training. It partners with community colleges to provide classroom instruction for apprentices in the field.
The Institute does not run the marketplace. Home Hero runs the marketplace. The Institute recruits apprentices and refers them to the Home Hero platform for OJT placement and hour tracking. Two organizations. One shared mission. Both exist because Dewayne Anderson believed the community deserved both.
Every apprentice who enters the Home Hero Institute program has access to the Home Hero OJT marketplace to find licensed master contractors, log verified hours, and build the documentation they need for journeyman licensure — all through the same platform.
